Summary: Now THIS is what I am talking about! This mothefucker right up in here! IDLE RUIN (Brisbane, Australia) have dropped a blackened death thrash four song debut EP so remorselessly rabid that it should come with a series of fast acting immune globulin doses to be administered with seven gauge needle syringes. This offering of uncut malevolence was spawned during the current and still raging COVID19 pandemic and is the solo project of drummer/vocalist Liam Anthony [DECAPITATED MUM, ex- MALAKYTE] with involvement from guitarist Kaleb Doherty [WHEN DEATH REPLACES LIFE] and bassist Josh Dawson [DECAPITATED MUM, INDICA]. Per the unit’s electronic press kit, the purpose is “to create aggressive extreme music intended for banging heads and raising beer glasses”. Better break out the das boots and high trauma neck braces, legions.

Influenced by such bands as KREATOR, POSSESSED, MIDNIGHT, NOCTURNAL GRAVES, NAILS, VENOM and HELLHAMMER amongst others, this three-piece barrages the audio senses like hallucinating, war lusting berserker Vikings ultimately decimating their enemies and then laughing about it while basking in the blood red moonlight. In all honesty, the only reason that I did not score this effort fifty out of possible fifty HORNS UP is because four songs were not enough for me. I was craving for more. Oh, such sweet savagery.
